Isn't it incredible to see how you've changed over the years, your speech patterns, your mannerisms, appearance, talents. It surprises me how much one person can change over the space of a few years.
I've just been looking back over old messages, photos and art pieces and I'm shocked at some things. I actually can't believe how much of a doormat I used to be to some people, I let them do whatever they wanted and just went along with it like a sheep! But I guess reading over these things and remembering the past helps one become a far stronger person.
I never realised how much weight I've lost over my face in the past year alone, either. There's the obvious physical changes, but I just didn't notice how my face has changed. My art work is an ever evolving thing too, and it's extraordinary to see how my style can develop, but also how my technical abilities have improved.
Also my work ethic for the horses and the riding and confidence. Looking back about 3 years, I'd never have considered riding anything that wasn't half dead, and as for jumping hedges...well... My flatwork is getting better after every ride, and I feel like I know what I'm asking for just that bit more each day. But I'm constantly motivated to ride more and more, pushing my limits inches further each day.
How do you see changes in yourselves? It'd be interesting to read about, post in the comments below!
